Prof. Xian Li

Prof. Xian Li

Professor, College of Fisheries, Ocean University of China.


She is a Ph.D. Supervisor at the College of Fisheries, Ocean University of China, and a recipient of the National High-Level Young Talent Program. Specializing in aquaculture environmental regulation under facility-based systems, with a focus on fish welfare, her recent research has focused on fish welfare assessment and the development of welfare-oriented farming models in land-based recirculating aquaculture systems.

Prof. Li has led multiple national projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key R&D Program. As a prolific scholar, she has published over 50 academic papers as the first or corresponding author, secured 10 invention patents (as the primary inventor), one software copyright, and authored/co-authored one textbook and two monographs. Her contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Second Prize of the Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 1st, 2021), the First Prize of Dalian Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 2nd, 2021), the Shandong Provincial Young Marine Science and Technology Award (2023), and the Qingdao Young Scientist Award (2024).
