Associate Professor, Laboratory of Crustacean Behavioral Ecology and Health-Focused Aquaculture, Ocean University of China.
My research aims to address key challenges in the aquaculture of crustaceans through the application of behavioural studies. Specifically, I examine the ecological roles of chemosensory perception, personality, predation, and agonistic behaviours in crustaceans, with a focus on crabs. Furthermore, I study the behavioural and physiological plasticity of these animals in response to environmental stressors within aquaculture settings. I am also interested in developing predictive behavioural models to forecast their responses in farming environments. These research efforts are dedicated to contributing to the improvement of crustacean welfare and promoting the sustainable development of aquaculture.
