Professor, College of Fisheries and Life Sciences, Shanghai Ocean University.
Director of International Research Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, Deputy Director of Laboratory of Ministry of Education. He got his B.Sc. in Food Science, and Ph.D. in Environmental Biology at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. Currently, his researches focus on neuro-endocrine control of the environmental adaptability in Aquatic animals. He has been involved in fish and shellfish reproduction, stress physiology and welfare management R&D in the UK and China since 1998. He is interested in research and innovation to favour the development of sustainable aquaculture and marine animal conservation. Research interests include unravelling mechanisms of adaptive capacity and stress-coping styles of Aquatic animals, developing health welfare evaluation and anti-stress select breeding methodology of aquacultural animals.
