
Prof. Ying Liu
Professor, College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science, Zhejiang University.
He is currently a Qiu Shi Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University, the director of the Key Laboratory of Facility Aquaculture of the Ministry of Education, Ph.D. supervisor, and recipient of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council. He is also a National Outstanding Agricultural Research Talent. He has served as the president of the Aquacultural Engineering Society (AES), a member of the Aquaculture Discipline Evaluation Group of the State Council's Academic Degrees Committee, and concurrently holds positions as the chairman of the Industrialized Aquaculture and Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, the director of the Aquaculture Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, and the deputy director of the Fish Industrialized Aquaculture Research Society of the Chinese Society of Fisheries. His main research focuses on the environmental engineering and intelligent equipment of facility aquaculture, with specific areas including the interaction mechanism between biology and environment in intensive aquaculture systems, the group behaviour of aquatic organisms and its ecological mechanism, precise production and welfare-oriented aquaculture technologies in modern fisheries, and the creation of high-efficiency environmental monitoring equipment for aquaculture.
